Clear/ C-Select Boards

Clear (defect-free), and near-clear Radiata Pine boards are available from Southern Cross Forest Products. Produced from the highest-quality pruned logs, these boards are ideal of all end-uses where the wood grain remains visible, or where a superior paint finish is desired.

Clear Boards are available in the following widths;

Solid Clear Pine Mouldings

Solid Clear Mouldings are manufactured from the highest-quality pruned logs available in the world.  This allows Southern Cross Forest Products to produce the best grade solid Radiata Pine mouldings available in the marketplace today.

Solid Clear Mouldings are ideal for areas where the wood grain remains visible, where a superior paint finish is required, or where greater impact-resistance is required than is offered by MDF.

SCFP currently manufacture over 600 different moulding profiles ranging up to 8” in width.  Lengths are available from 6’ (1.8m) through to 20’ (6m) in random-length or set-length units.

Fingerjoint Mouldings

Available in a similar range of profiles to the Solid Clear Mouldings, SCFP 
offer interior-grade Fingerjoint Mouldings.Fingerjoint Mouldings are available 
‘raw’ (unprimed) or ‘pre-primed’ (two-coat acrylic primer) and can be purchased 
in lengths up to 20’ (6m).

Shook / Blocks / Blanks

Clear Shook/Blocks are available as they arise during the production of SCFP’s high-quality Clear Boards (1”/25mm and 5/4”/32mm) and Solid Clear Mouldings (5/4”/32mm and 6/4”/38mm).  These clear blocks are defect free, surfaced top-and-bottom, and are ready for feeding directly into a fingerjointer for production into Blanks.

Alternatively SCFP can Fingerjoint the product in-house and offer Blank stock ready for remanufacturing into finished product.

 

Random-Width Lumber

Available in near-Clear (Moulding & Better) and Knotty (#1 Shop, #2 Shop, #3 Shop, and Commons) grades, SCFP can offer some of the best random-width lumber available.  The large pruned logs available to SCFP make the average width available as good as any currently offered today.

Additionally, with many years experience remanufacturing this 
lumber into Solid Clear Mouldings and Fingerjoint Mouldings, SCFP 
have perfected the conventional-temperature drying schedules 
required to ensure the finished products manufactured from this 
lumber remain straight and stable.

This lumber is available in 4/4” (25mm), 5/4” (32mm), and 6/4” (38mm) 
thicknesses with length ranging from 6’ (1.8m) to 20’ (6m).

 

Cuttings Lumber

SCFP Cuttings grades encompass lumber with varying clear component length.  This ranges from #1 Cuts with 1 meter clear portions, to 3 Cuts with 300mm clear portions. SCFP can match your requirements with the lumber grade that best suits your products.  We supply individual grades, or can supply a mixed grade commonly referred to as ‘Cut of Log’.

All lumber is precision sawn in our mills and dried on exact drying schedules
through our kilns to ensure all material is stable, has consistent bright colour, 
and is ready for use when it arrives at your plant.
