KAURI TIMBER PRODUCTS

Company Information

Kauri Timber Products (Kauri) is the SCFP sales and marketing vehicle for all products going into Asia.  It is a fully owned subsidiary of Southern Cross Forest Products.

The company name has a long history with exporting timber from New Zealand.  It originated as the Kauri Timber Company (KTC) in 1889 exporting Kauri logs to Australia, and was the first publicly listed company on the Melbourne stock exchange. KTC was also the biggest New Zealand Forestry company until 1948 when other forestry businesses started to expand with the economic growth.

Southern Cross Forest products has been marketing and selling timber into Asia under the Kauri Timber Products brand since 1986. In that time the Kauri brand has been recognised for quality, consistency and reliability.  Southern Cross Forest Products, through Kauri, has built strong, long term business relationships with customers throughout Asia, all due to the Kauri brand values.
