New Zealand Forest Industry
New Zealands production forest estate
comprises of exotic
plantation Radiata Pine forests of which 42% of New Zealand's
production forest estate
is currently FSC certified.
Agreements exist between New Zealand forest
owners & enviromental
groups,endorsing forest management practices and acknowledging the
role of these forests in protecting the native forests and habitats in New
Zealand.
The New Zealand Forest Accord 1991 is signed by most forest industry
associations and enviromental groups such as Royal Forest & Bird Society
and NZ Rainforest Coalition.
SCFP Enviromental Certification

All SCFP mills have FSC Chain of Custody (CoC) certification (available for
download below) as shown on downloadable certificates below. -
SCFP has a preference toward purchasing logs from FSC certified forests

100% of SCFP logs come from plantation grown Radiata pine forests

SCFP has stringent log purchasing and Enviromental policies which are
enforced at each site
